Two Google Chrome entries in Windows "notifications & actions" settings

Project Member Reported by chengx@chromium.org, Aug 3

Issue description

OS: Win10, maybe other Windows versions as well.

What steps will reproduce the problem?
(1) Go to Windows settings (hit "Windows" key and then type "Settings");
(2) Go to "System" section as shown on the top left;
(3) Click "Notification & actions" on the left panel;
(4) Scroll to "Get notifications from these senders".

What is the expected result?
Each Chrome channel should have one entry.

What happens instead?
The stable channel has two. One has a black background and low-res Canary icon which doesn't seem correct.

This was firstly reported as in https://bugs.chromium.org/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=823977#c28. It occurred on my machines as well.

Anyone can check it this occurs to you as well?
I see an entry for Google Chrome and an entry for Google Chrome Canary. Both have the correct icon which seems to be full resolution. This is on my main development workstation.
I only see canary on mine. The icon looks just fine (white bg). Could this have been left behind from a time when the feature was still a work-in-progress?

Re #3: That's possible. Btw, both sunnyps@ (who reported this issue as mentioned in #1) and I updated Chrome on our machines to M68 Stable by ourselves, which could also be a factor.

I will keep an eye on this.

We were unable to reproduce this bug on windows 10 using latest canary #72.0.3611.0. If this bug still reproduces for you, please reopen or file a new issue.

Thanks!
