Issue descriptionChrome: 69.0.3497.23 (Official Build) beta (64-bit) (cohort: Beta) JAWS: 2018 NVDA: 2018.2.1 Steps to repro: # With NVDA or JAWS on, visit Chrome://settings # Tab through settings noting screen reader's announcements # Note where it is not clear what the current control does # For example: Tab to the 'on startup' radio buttons # Notice that the screen reader does not announce 'on startup' Expected: Each section in settings would be wrapped in a field set with the h2 text in a legend tag Radio button groups that are not labelled by the section heading would be wrapped in their own field set and have a legend tag around their label Actual: Sometimes section headings are used as labels and are not read by the screen reader when tabbing.

Able to recreate the issue for StartUp label in Chrome://Settings page Operating System : Windows Version of Chrome: Version 72.0.3589.0 (Official Build) canary (64-bit) Steps to repro: Transfer to Dev Channel in chrome in Windows, with NVDA On. Tab to On start up section label Expected: “On Startup”header label should be read aloud Actual: No header label is reader aloud for Startup instead directly the radio button checked is read instead. |
