Yellow Icons become Greenish on Primary Monitor

Reported by budimanj...@gmail.com, Aug 2

Issue description

UserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Ubuntu Chromium/68.0.3440.75 Chrome/68.0.3440.75 Safari/537.36

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. Open web pages that has yellow icon on Primary Monitor
2.
3.

What is the expected behavior?
The Icon color should be Yellow

What went wrong?
The icon displayed Greenish on the outline. This is not my monitor issue, because I have tried opening the same page on the Primary Monitor with other browsers (Chrome and Firefox) and it's displayed the way it should be on those browsers. And this only happen after updating Chromium yesterday.

Did this work before? Yes Before this update

Chrome version: 68.0.3440.75 Channel: stable
OS Version: Ubuntu 16.04-5 LTS
Flash Version: Shockwave Flash 30.0 r0

Thanks for filing the issue!

Unable to reproduce the issue on reported version 68.0.3440.75 using Ubuntu 17.10(...dual monitor) with the below mentioned steps.
1. Launched Chrome
2. Navigated to https://www.tokopedia.com/ and https://www.google.com/gmail
We observed the stars rendered properly without any issues.

@Reporter: Could you please check the same in a new profile without any apps & extensions and let us know if the issue still persists. Any further inputs from your end may be helpful.

@vamshi Thanks for your reply. I just tried to launch Chromium from a new profile without anything by:
- Create a new /tes folder in my home dir
- Launch Chromium from terminal using this command: chromium-browser --user-data-dir=~/tes

Result: I still got the same green outline on those two sites (tokopedia and gmail).
Maybe this only happen in Ubuntu 16.04? Also, I'm using Nvidia GTX 970 graphic card with proprietary 384.130 and Xorg version 11.
This is so weird because the issue is gone whenever I move the window to the second monitor (the color changes when half of the window reach my second monitor, like precisely half of the window forward).

As per comment#5 the issues seems to be very similar to that of bug 867813 hence duplicating into it and removing Needs-Bisect label.

Thanks!
