PDF viewer vanishes after few seconds

Reported by david.po...@gmail.com, Aug 1

Issue description

When I open a PDF file in Chrome, it displays the PDF in a new tab for a few seconds, then the screen becomes grey (or white if setting "Use Hardware acceleration" is unchecked).
Fun fact if I switch to another tab of my favorite browser and come back to the tab where the PDF was opened, it appears again and do not vanish any more. It's my current workaround, but not satisfying for my clients.

I've seen many post on the same subject, but all closed although I still have this issue.
What I've tried until then:
- clear cache and cookies
- uncheck "Use hardware acceleration when available"
- same using Incognito mode

Below device and OS details, attached the result of chrome://net-internals/ capture while downloading the PDF

You can close this one, I have found what was the problem: it happened because I’ve sent 2 requests to the server to open the PDF, the first one returning an empty page (no-content), and the second one returning the PDF.
For an unknown reason this makes the second request crashing…
