Issue descriptionWhen I open a PDF file in Chrome, it displays the PDF in a new tab for a few seconds, then the screen becomes grey (or white if setting "Use Hardware acceleration" is unchecked). Fun fact if I switch to another tab of my favorite browser and come back to the tab where the PDF was opened, it appears again and do not vanish any more. It's my current workaround, but not satisfying for my clients. I've seen many post on the same subject, but all closed although I still have this issue. What I've tried until then: - clear cache and cookies - uncheck "Use hardware acceleration when available" - same using Incognito mode Below device and OS details, attached the result of chrome://net-internals/ capture while downloading the PDF About:version Google Chrome 68.0.3440.84 (Official Build) (64-bit) Revision 520a5c14b858e4b1441dd2d3bab9bc745911a23b-refs/branch-heads/3440@{#774} OS Mac OS X JavaScript V8 6.8.275.24 Flash 30.0.0.134 /Users/david/Library/Application Support/Google/Chrome/PepperFlash/30.0.0.134/PepperFlashPlayer.plugin User Agent Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10_12_6) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/68.0.3440.84 Safari/537.36 Command Line /Applications/Google Chrome.app/Contents/MacOS/Google Chrome --flag-switches-begin --flag-switches-end Executable Path /Applications/Google Chrome.app/Contents/MacOS/Google Chrome Profile Path /Users/david/Library/Application Support/Google/Chrome/Default Variations c134752e-95b424ac 265533-3d47f4f4 59aeb88e-3f4a17df 1a0d11d4-ca7d8d80 ebeb14fc-3f4a17df 34a6bf44-ca7d8d80 bacf97b2-ca7d8d80 241fff6c-1623a499 3095aa95-3f4a17df 7c1bc906-f55a7974 47e5d3db-3d47f4f4 125b7f68-26e7b859 1149accc-3d47f4f4 4dc30737-b8a5ea08 a582a1b8-ad75ce17 44827ee5-3f4a17df d0ecf1da-ca7d8d80 8f1e27f-ca7d8d80 9773d3bd-f23d1dea 9e5c75f1-7dce8e56 da92f51d-3d47f4f4 f79cb77b-3d47f4f4 4ea303a6-ecbb250e bcc34a89-3f4a17df 2c1d398c-ca7d8d80 58a025e3-36e97b2c 2a32876a-ca7d8d80 ff29b1bd-1c82c12a da460ac8-3f4a17df 4bc337ce-69465896 9a2f4e5b-4bc735ae 1354da85-ca7d8d80 17507c76-ca7d8d80 494d8760-52325d43 f47ae82a-86f22ee5 3ac60855-486e2a9c f296190c-48a2334a 4442aae2-6bdfffe7 ed1d377-e1cc0f14 12e17bc5-e1cc0f14 75f0f0a0-4ad60575 e2b18481-cdc3d902 e7e71889-4ad60575 3a4029d-ca7d8d80 94e68624-803f8fc4 8834fcca-ca7d8d80 81c6897f-3f4a17df

You can close this one, I have found what was the problem: it happened because I’ve sent 2 requests to the server to open the PDF, the first one returning an empty page (no-content), and the second one returning the PDF. For an unknown reason this makes the second request crashing…
