Fuchsia Support in Catapult

Project Member Reported by stephanstross@google.com, Aug 1

Issue description

Support needs to be added for locating and deploying tests to Fuchsia devices through Catapult.

Could you elaborate? Does this refer to the Catapult perf dashboard, or a different component of Catapult? Is this a feature request for Chromium (i.e. change Chromium to support sending results to Catapult when running on Fuchsia) or a feature request for Catapult (i.e. change Catapult)?

The reason I ask is that we are using the Catapult dashboard for tracking performance of some parts of Fuchsia already (see the "fuchsia.*" test suites on https://chromeperf.appspot.com/report). I came across this issue and I was wondering what you had in mind.

So, the intent is to be able to run the browser tests locally from the command line, by identifying fuchsia devices connected to a network the computer hosting catapult is on. This is specifically to facilitate comparative testing between two devices which we can control to make as identical as possible, so that we can test the variations in Chrome between Linux and Fuchsia.
