Orgin registration

Issue description

UserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; CrOS x86_64 10575.58.0) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/67.0.3396.99 Safari/537.36
Platform: 10575.58.0 (Official Build) stable-channel swanky

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. 
2. paid attention to frames module and trying to contact their website i.e. MEI
3. 

What is the expected behavior?
for my chromebook2 to register that it is a chromebook

What went wrong?
not sure but Updating Origin Trials always fails with an 'update error.'

Did this work before? No

Can you tell us where you are seeing this error? And what behaviour (besides the error message) you are seeing that may be caused by it?

If you can, uploading a screenshot of the error message may help us figure out exactly what is failing.

(I don't think that anything to do with device registration should be contingent on updating the OT component, but I'd like to know what could be failing in this situation)
