PRIVACY ISSUE
IndexedDB data persists after clearing local data

VERSION:
Chrome Version: Chrome 62.0,
Operating System: iOS 10.2.1.

REPRODUCTION STEPS

What steps will reproduce the problem?
Steps to replicate
Use any web application that stores data in the browser using Indexed Database API (e.g. http://sb-storage-watcher.s3-website-eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/)
Try to delete all locally-stored data using Chrome’s user interface

What is the expected result?
Data stored in IndexedDB is still there after attempted data deletion

What happens instead?
Data stored using IndexedDB should have been deleted to protect users from cookie resurrection attempts

No longer reproduced based on the test page URL provided, Indexed Database API data is cleared completely after performing ClearBrowsingData.

Tested on M68.0.3440.70 stable with iOS11.4.1 iPad Pro 9".

Srikanth, does it repro on 10.2.1? It's not like we can do anything about 10.2.1, but still useful to know that we where able to reproduce the bug with reported configuration. Thanks!

[sorry for the delay]
Test suite doesn't have any devices on iOS10.2.1
The least we have is 10.3.3, please let me know if this this needs tobe tested on 10.3.3
Status: WontFix (was: Assigned)
Thanks Srikanth! Not worth the trouble.
