Tab preview no longer working

Device name: Pixel 2 XL

From "Settings > About Chrome"
Application version: 68.0.3440.70
Operating system: Android 8.1.0; Pixel 2 XL Build/OPM2.171026.006.H1

URLs (if applicable):

Steps to reproduce:
(1) Open more than one tab in Chrome.
(2) Press the "Open Tabs" button.

Expected result: A preview of open tabs is displayed in a scrollable windowed format.


Actual result: A text-only listing of open tabs is displayed containing window titles only and no window preview.

Tested the issue on Android and unable to reproduce this issue. i.e; Able to see opened tabs with scrollable windowed format

1. Launched chrome , Opened NTP, Opened facebook.com , opened chrome://version
2. Clicked on Open tabs button, observed open tabs with scrollable windowed forma

Chrome version:
68.0.3440.70

OS:
Android 9

Android Devices:
Pixel 2 XL/OPM2.171026.006.H1

@rayahhope: Could you please check the steps and let us know if we miss anything and Is this issue consistently reproducible? Also please check the issue by restarting chrome.
