file input element with accept attribute limited to images not working

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. click on any of the first 'choose file' input/buttons on https://jsfiddle.net/4eh7mn8g/6/ with an android phone (not emulator! Which is working)
2. Image Selection page shows up with heading only and a loading animation which keeps spinning

What is the expected behavior?
Images should show up, which i could select.

What went wrong?
I can not select anything/I can not continue.

Did this work before? Yes Not sure. But i have tested this around one year ago successfully

Chrome version: 67.0.3396.99  Channel: stable
OS Version: 8

OK. It seems like it is actually working.
After a couple of minutes 😲

It seems like Chrome is reading all my images on my phone first. As i am having several gb images, this process takes very long.

I guess you can close this.
