Bookmark editor selects the next entry in folder list instead of the touched one

Reported by vi...@indianets.com, Jul 26

Issue description

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. Edit a bookmark
2. Select Folders to change folder
3. Select a folder and check, the next one gets selected.

What is the expected behavior?
The folder which is touched must be selected

What went wrong?
Explained in steps to reproduce. It’s a simple UI issue, the selection variable must be selecting next item in folder list array.

Did this work before? N/A

Chrome version: Google Chrome	68.0.3440.70 (Official Build) stable (64-bit) Channel: beta

Could you provide a bit more detail? I cannot reproduce this, neither with 68 Stable nor on ToT, works fine for me both with and without UI Refresh.

Hello,

I am on iOS 12 public beta 4 on iPhone 6s 16GB. Chrome is updated to v68 as mentioned in my first post.

For example I opened google.com and bookmarked it, after which I click Edit to edit the Bookmark. Screenshot 1.

Then I clicked Folder to change the folder of my bookmark and touched "Phone" folder. Screenshot 2.

Now, after the touch event when screen goes back, the selected folder is "Pumps" instead of "Phone" which I touched and intended to select. Screenshot 3.

I hope this is clear now, Thank you.

Thanks for filing the bug vijay@!

Using the UIRefresh on M68 can still produce some bugs since it's still work in progress. I remember this particular issue and it should be fixed already for the next version.
Thank you for taking care of it.
