When I switch to tablet mode, track pad is still enabled, and the slightly different tablet UI does not appear

Issue description

UserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; CrOS x86_64 10888.0.0) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/69.0.3494.0 Safari/537.36
Platform: 10888.0.0 (Official Build) dev-channel snappy

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. Put it into tablet mode

What is the expected behavior?

What went wrong?
Tablet mode is nonfunctional

Did this work before? Yes 

Chrome version: 69.0.3494.0  Channel: dev
OS Version: 10888.0.0
Flash Version: Flash Player disabled (yes Ik very useful)

aj.ernandes01 - Could you provide more details? Do you have a external mouse attached?

It works when wireless mouse is unplugged
Tablet mode does not activate when a external mouse anymore. The trackpad still working is a bug, which should be address by the cl in comment #2.
Status: Fixed (was: Unconfirmed)
I am going to mark this as fixed because i believe the patch in #2 should fix this, but feel free to reopen this if that is not the case.
