VizHitTestDrawQuad on ChromeOS testing

Project Member Reported by riajiang@chromium.org, Jul 23

Issue description

VizHitTestDrawQuad finch experiment changes where we do hit-testing and can be turned on in chrome://flags. It is currently turned on on other platforms except ChromeOS. This is a tracking bug for QA testing on ChromeOS devices.

(moving the conversation to this bug since Viz ppl not in that email thread are also interested in the status)

A summary of the current status:
The fix https://chromium-review.googlesource.com/c/chromium/src/+/1149200 for display rotation problems has been merged back to M68. VizHitTestDrawQuad finch is on 50% canary, dev and beta and 1% stable for non-cros platforms. Since this feature is not cros specific, we prob don't need a full cros QA testing? Finch experiment in canary and dev should reveal some bugs and we'll also do more on-device testing ourselves.

dchan@ and omrilio@, wdyt? are there a list of hit-testing related tests that's special on cros (e.g. display rotation)? Thanks!

I added Mythri to see if we can do some testing on this for M69.
Can you please share the verification steps for this feature?
All the changes are in M68, can we test on M68 canary and dev, and if it goes well, beta?

For verification steps, it would be test on hit-testing ChromeOS special cases and verify that events go to the correct place/ window. Thanks!
Completed hit-testing verification on Chrome OS on M68 build (10718.69.0, 68.0.3440.83) with --enable-features=VizHitTestDrawQuad covering scenarios like
browser testing, sign in sanity, display rotation, changing display size, external monitor, basic chrome apps testing. Functionality is working fine on Chrome OS.
Thank you mkarkada@! I'll turn on finch on canary, dev and beta 50% then
Status: Fixed (was: Assigned)
Finch has been turned on for canary, dev and beta M68 50% on ChromeOS. I'll close this bug; thank you for helping with testing!
