Text detection API not detecting correctly. |
||||||||||||||||||||||
Issue descriptionText detector api Both detects fine, But some of values not provided Windows 10, Google Chrome, BoundingBox values are all 0. Mac, Google Chrome, RawValues "" Please tell me, What version of chrome and OS does it work?

Both RawValue and BoundingBox have been supported on Android Platform that can detect Latin language [1]. Text Detection on Mac with CIDetectorTypeText[2] API only finds areas that are likely to contain upright text, but does not perform optical character recognition, so the rawValue is "". Maybe the BoundingBox on Windows is a bug that need to be fixed with OcrWord.BoundingRect[3] Property. The demo provided by you in the codepen is not working. I tested the Windows 10, Chrome Version 67.0.3396.99 (Official Build) (64-bit). I attached the output screenshot. Text detection work find but Bounding box values are all 0. The code link is https://codepen.io/miguelao/pen/ygxVqg Then I tested it on Mac, Chrome Latest build too. In the MacOS, Bouding box values are all fine, But texts[i].rawValue is empty.

Tried testing the issue on Win-10 using chrome latest stable #67.0.3396.99 and latest canary #70.0.3507.0 as per comment #4. Observed that after navigating to https://codepen.io/miguelao/pen/ygxVqg and clicking on the "Detect the text" button, an error appeared as text detection not supported. mcasas@ - Could you please provide any other sample file /url to test the issue from TE-end. Thanks...!!
