Docked magnifier doesn't restore resized windows upon closing |

Issue descriptionGoogle Chrome 69.0.3473.0 (Official Build) dev (64-bit) Firmware Version Google_Lulu.6301.136.57 Steps to reproduce: # Make a window less than maximized but still as tall as the screen # Enable docked magnifier via Accessibility settings or using ctrl + search + d # Turn off docked magnifier using either method Expected: window gets larger again as it would if it were fullscreen Actual: window remains same size as it was under the dock Please see this video for a demo: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1O0w-tgOVCJxUwjEe6l5735rTAS6WueiA/view These bugs appear to have the same root cause but are in different parts of the UI. katie@ please advise if these should be merged as one bug or kept together: 868625 868623 865795 865792

I bet this is working as intended -- because some windows will be opened when the docked magnifier is already open, and to what size would we re-size those? We probably can guess the docked magnifier will be left enabled by the average user, and not toggled on-and-off like in testing, so this is probably not a pain point for most users? Laura, does a fully maximized window continue to be maximized when the docked magnifier is removed?

I think this is WAI here. When the window is maximized, the size is respected when you toggle the docked magnifier off, which is good. If it was already a custom size, then I think it's okay to not go back to what that custom size had been when you turn off the magnifier. |
