Issue descriptionUserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/67.0.3396.99 Safari/537.36 Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. Launch a VR samples of webvr.info in last google canary 2. See that navigator.getVRDisplays() FAILED 3. What is the expected behavior? navigator.getVRDisplays() SUCCEED What went wrong? navigator.getVRDisplays() FAILED Did this work before? Yes canary v68 Does this work in other browsers? N/A Chrome version: 69.0.3494.0 Channel: stable OS Version: 6.1 (Windows 7, Windows Server 2008 R2) Flash Version: So since a recent update of Canary in half july 2018 , it s impossible to launch any webVR experience calling WebVR API on this browser. it actually works perfectly on Mozilla firefox.

For webvr on Windows to work, you need to ensure you have the flags enabled. I just tested that this does work on Canary 69.0.3496.0. Go to chrome://flags, and enable "OpenVR hardware support" for testing and developing on Windows with OpenVR (HTC Vive). Similarly, enable "Oculus hardware support" for testing with Oculus Rift. Note that this doesn't yet meet the security bar, so avoid leaving the setting on for general browsing.
