3. Mouse wheel doesn't work.
What is the expected result?
- Scroll wheel works as intended.
What happens instead of that?
- Scroll wheel stops working in Chrome (and continues not to work in any new tab).
Please provide any additional information below. Attach a screenshot if

- As a workaround, I can turn off smooth scrolling in the system settings for my mouse (Logitech M720). As soon as I turn it off, scroll wheel works again.

Thanks for filing the issue! Unable to reproduce the issue on reported chrome version 67.0.3396.99 using Windows 7 & 10 with the below mentioned steps. 1. Launched Chrome 2. Navigated to YouTube.com 3. Tried scrolling with mouse wheel We were able to scroll with out any issues. @Reporter: From comment#0 i.e., "As soon as I turn it off, scroll wheel works again." we understood that the issue isn't with chrome. If that's the case could you please let us know if we can close this issue.

The problem was limited to Chrome (scrolling worked in all other applications without any issues). However, the problem was solved by a reboot.

Sorry, meant to clarify: 1. With smooth scrolling turned on in system settings for mouse, all applications *Except* Chrome were able to scroll normally. 2. With smooth scrolling turned off in system settings, scrolling worked in Chrome as well. Problem appears to have been solved with a reboot. But the issue was limited to Chrome.

Confirming this scroll bug on MacOS 10.13.6 and ChromeOS latest build on 2013 Pixel as follows (read very carefully). The lower half of browser vertical scroll bar control is dead and not working until the top half is activated. The upper half is working. Very disruptive to user experience and user productivity because user cannot scroll past the page fold. Test suite is almost certainly missing this bug (because depends where user click on scroll control). [I expect issue is showing up in logs for user behavior]. Contact me directly if you can't replicate github@cliveb

Sahel is working on a few related issues. Hopefully they all share the same root cause.

clive.boulton@ what you see in comment #7 is different from what's reported in this bug. I am gonna close this bug since the issue is solved now. Please file a new bug with a sample URL and steps to reproduce the issue for what you described in comment #7. |
