Issue description
UserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Ubuntu Chromium/66.0.3359.181 Chrome/66.0.3359.181 Safari/537.36
Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. Paste a large chunk of JSON into the devtools console, in the format "var info = [{...}]" and press enter (I used https://evo.ca/api/Cars.aspx)
2. Start typing "var info" again into console until the autocomplete window appears
3. Select the autocomplete suggestion from step 1
What is the expected behavior?
Text should remain in the text input area of the console
What went wrong?
The text from the autocomplete suggestion covers the entire devtools UI, blocking clicks even after the autocomplete window is gone.
Did this work before? N/A
Chrome version: 66.0.3359.181 Channel: stable
OS Version: Mint 18.2
Flash Version:
It can be cleared by getting the autocomplete suggestion window to open again, by typing something into the console. However, this is not always possible.

Thank you for the report, and repro case. The core issue is the same as crbug.com/845766 which has a fix in M69 (currently beta), which will reach stable soon. |
