macOS: Hit space key twice puts U+002E

UserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10_12_6) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/67.0.3396.99 Safari/537.36

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. create a span with contenteditable="true"
2. edit the content of the span end insert multiple (3-4) spaces. A dot character will appear.

What is the expected behavior?
The dot character should not appear.

What went wrong?
I hit space but the dot character appeared.

Does this work in other browsers? Yes

Chrome version: 67.0.3396.99  Channel: stable
OS Version: OS X 10.12.6
Flash Version: 

It's worked on Firefox.

Able to reproduce the issue on chrome reported version# 67.0.3396.99 and latest chrome# 69.0.3489.0 using Mac 10.12.6 with link given in comment# 0. As this issue is seen from M-60(60.0.3112.0), hence considering this issue as Non-Regression and marking it as Untriaged.
Note: Issue is not seen on Ubuntu 14.04 and Windows-10.

Summary: macOS: Hit space key twice puts U+002E (was: contenteditable span insert a dot when I hit spaces multiple time)
Mark WontFix, since this is macOS feature.

If you don't like this behavior, please uncheck "Add period with double-space" in "Keyboard" control panel.

This can be happened in <input> and <textarea> in addition to content editable.
