I am able to see this with the old UI also, so marq@ is correct that it is not related to the UI refresh. This is not dependent on a fresh install. However, the pdf can't be cached, so you need to use a new PDF for each test to ensure it isn't already cached. The bigger issue here is that the "spinner/loading" page is never displayed anymore. And as seen here, when it is displayed, it is on top of the tab switcher/grid and not on top of the webview.

> "However, the pdf can't be cached, so you need to use a new PDF for each test to ensure it isn't already cached." I assume you mean the pdf *can* be cached?

Sorry, yes. It won't reproduce the bug if it is cached, so using a new pdf will repo again. No fresh install of the app is required.

This app freeze is reproducible only when 'open in' link is available over bottom tool bar which is from build 69.0.3480.0 (Revision number: f357cd72beb4) but not in older version 69.0.3479.0 (Revision number: 4bd5a86d51d0) The Tap to cancel indicator is shown even in old UI versions.
