Most of these are unrelated to accessibility. The only one "1. Shift+Search+S : starts or stops typing what you speak" is related to dictation and didn't ship in m67.

+ zhelfins for the dictation bit. Iirc, dictation in the keyboard help was conditioned on the enable experimental accessibility flag. Zach, if you don't mind making sure this works properly. I think we should get this right for m69.

Intended behavior is for the dictation keyboard shortcut to do nothing unless the setting has been enabled. I talked to Laura Allen and we agreed removing that shortcut from the list was probably the best course of action. Does anyone disagree?

+ ovanieva@ For 1. Shift+Search+S : starts or stops typing what you speak We try to add all shortcuts and make the description accurate. It is possible we missed the some a11y shortcuts in the first place and wrote wrong description. It would be ideal to show the full list of shortcuts to the users. Could you please point me where is the full list of the experimental a11y shortcuts? For inaccurate description, we can simplify update the description, e.g. "To use this feature, go to chrome://flags to turn on ... and then ...." Thanks.

Hey! Sorry, but Search Shift S is not correct. If you have Dictation enabled in accessibility settings, then you can press Search + d to start/stop dictation. If you have Select to Speak enabled in settings, then you can press Search + s to have Chrome OS speak the selected text aloud in a synthesized voice. With these, I'd just want to make sure it was clear that the shortcuts won't work unless the feature is turned on, otherwise it will be confusing for the user.

@agnescheng@chromium.org, the accessibility shortcuts shouldn't work unless their feature is enabled -- except ctrl-shift-z should always toggle chromevox. Can you still reproduce this given that information? |
