What steps will reproduce the problem?
(1) --top-chrome-md=material-refresh --enable-features=SecondaryUiMd,ViewsBrowserWindows
(2) Have an Omnibox keyword shortcut set up (I use "cs" for cs.chromium.org)
(3) Open a new tab and type the shortcut "cs", which should open the Omnibox popup in keyword mode
(4) The Omnibox popup closes itself after shortly after

What is the expected result?
The Omnibox should stay open in keyword mode.

What happens instead?
The Omnibox popup closes itself. If you are typing fast and continue with a search term, e.g. "cs<space>term", then the closing of the popup will also usually clobber "term".

See the attached video. Note that I took no action (e.g. pressing Esc or Enter) to close the Omnibox popup.

This isn't 100% reproducible. But about 1/5 tries I can get it to happen. It's seems easier to reproduce if you open a new tab via Cmd+T and type "cs" quickly.
