Issue description

UserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/67.0.3396.87 Safari/537.36

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. open https://googlechrome.github.io/samples/play-return-promise/
2. click the play button
3. watch the console output in DevTools

What is the expected behavior?
the audio should be played...

What went wrong?
No idea!

Tried different file-types and different URLs. Always the same...

Did this work before? Yes 

Chrome version: 67.0.3396.87  Channel: stable
OS Version: Linux dev 4.9.0-6-amd64 #1 SMP Debian 4.9.88-1+deb9u1 (2018-05-07) x86_64 GNU/Linux
Flash Version: 

Works on Opera and Firefox...

Unable to reproduce issue on reported chrome version 67.0.3396.87 and latest canary 69.0.3486.0 Using Ubuntu 17.10 and Mac 10.12.6 by following the below steps. 
1.Opened the link-https://googlechrome.github.io/samples/play-return-promise/
2.Clicked play button - observed that the audio played and there is no error on Devtools -> console.

@reporter : Could you please confirm if this issue is specific to Debian so that it would be really helpful for further triaging.

Note : As, TE team cannot provide screencast with voice recording on Linux, provided screencast of Mac.

Sorry for the delay...

Unfortunately I had no chance to check this on any other linux system at this time. I hope to manage it the next days...

In the meantime I checked it with the original chrome version from google and that works fine. (after clicking the button, the music starts, no output on the console) I was expecting a difference in the JS-version, but they are the same.
I don't know if Chromium and Chrome are comparable in that case and if it is useful for you. If not then *shit*.

Unable to repro issue on the reported chromium version #67.0.3396.87  on Ubuntu 17.10.The issue seems related to Debian , hence forwarding the issue to Inhouse team to kindly look into the issue.

Tested the issue on debian 9.5 and Unable to reproduce issue on chromium version 67.0.3396.0 by following the below steps.
