Octane is not a pure CPU benchmark last i looked (even if they want it to be).  it also tickles network & rendering paths.  i've seen abysmal scores on crap wifi networks and switching to a fast one boosted the score a lot.

They are using a pixelbook. Maybe they didn't let it cool down between runs.
