Issue descriptionUserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/68.0.3440.33 Safari/537.36 Steps to reproduce the problem: Here we observe chromium is offering to generate and from now on type in the password for us. The problem is why can't it remember passwords that it didn't generate, so we don't have to type them in each time over and over again? What is the expected behavior? What went wrong? Chromium correctly detects password fields, but then the password filling feature only works correctly if it is on a web page. If it is on an extension, it only works correctly (?) if chromium is allowed to generate its own password. WebStore page: chrome://extensions/?id=ophjlpahpchlmihnnnihgmmeilfjmjjc Did this work before? N/A Chrome version: 68.0.3440.33 Channel: n/a OS Version: Flash Version:

Thanks for filing the issue! Tried checking the issue with the URL/sample web store page provided in comment#0 on reported chrome version 68.0.3440.33 using Ubuntu 14.04, but navigating to chrome://extensions/?id=ophjlpahpchlmihnnnihgmmeilfjmjjc is rendering us the chrome://extensions page rather than it getting redirected to web store page. Attaching the screen cast of the same for reference. @Reporter: Could you please check the screen cast and provide us with the proper URL, that helps us to triage the issue further in a better way. Any further inputs from your end may be helpful.

I mean: first install extension: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/line/ophjlpahpchlmihnnnihgmmeilfjmjjc Then every time you start the extension chromium fills in your email, but not your password. If you want your password filled in, you must accept chrome-generated passwords.
