Websites with no favicon show an utterly random icon in History

Reported by teo8...@gmail.com, Jul 8

Issue description

UserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/67.0.3396.99 Safari/537.36

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. visit a website that has no favicon, e.g. http://matteosistisette.com
2. look at your history

What is the expected behavior?
The entry corresponding to the website with no favicon should have no icon, or an icon similar to the one shown next to the tab when a visiting a website that has no favicon

What went wrong?
the item in History has some random image as the favicon, probably the favicon of some other website you have visited.

In my case it shows an icon that I don't even know what site it may belong to, definitely none that I have visited in the last few days, so if it comes from the favicon of some other website, it must have been saved ages ago. It looks *kind of* like the one from processing.org (which as I said, I have visited but not recently) but it's not quite the same (maybe an older one?)

Did this work before? N/A

Able to reproduce the issue on reported chrome version 67.0.3396.87 also on latest chrome 69.0.3485.0 using Mac 10.13.5, Ubuntu 17.10 and Windows 10.

Same behavior is seen on M60(60.0.3112.113) hence considering it as non-regression and marking it as Untriaged.

Thanks!
