Unable to reproduce the issue on reported chrome version 67.0.3396.99 using Ubuntu 14.04 with the below mentioned steps.
1. Launched Chrome
2. Opened several tabs
We were able to see all the tabs till end.

@Reporter: Screen cast(With audio) provided in comment#0 was very helpful in understanding the issue being faced at your end. We suggest you to try the same(...opening several tabs)  in a new profile without any apps & extensions and let us know if the issue still persists. Any further inputs from your end may help us in triaging it further in a better way.
