Browser spending time in memory_instrumentation on MacOS

Chrome Version: 67.0.3396.99 (Official Build) (64-bit)
OS: MacOS 10.13.5 (17F77)

Today I got my MacBook Pro spinning the fan a lot. Turned out the browser process was eating up ~50% of CPU. I grabber CPU sampling profile with Apple's Activity Monitor. 

It seems to be spending time in memory_instrumentation::GraphProcessor::CalculateSizesForGraph and friends. Doesn't look like something I'd expect.
