What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Try selecting a notification sound in the Android Gmail app - none of them will play.
2. Install your own sound file in the internal storage "Notifications" directory and then select that sound in the Gmail app - it works fine.
What is the expected result?
The stock Android notification sound files should work.
What happens instead of that?
The stock Android notification sound files seem to be corrupt and won't play at all - even if trying to play manually from some other media app.
Please provide any additional information below. Attach a screenshot if
possible.
All stock Android sound notification files are the same size - and none of them play - these files are located in "/system/media/audio/notifications" and all files are 3.87k in size. This issue seems to affect all channels on all Chromebooks. The result is that people think that Chromebooks do no support Android sound notifications when they actually work fine if you install your own sound files...
