Momentum scrolling horizontal tab switcher makes it difficult to choose a tab

I routinely find that the momentum scrolling (or at least whatever scrolling makes it jump past the tab I'm trying to scroll to) makes me have to correct. Basically, when I scroll between tabs it regularly jumps to a tab that I wasn't intending to reach.

Is there any existing pattern for making this reliable?

Note that this is primarily when I have to scroll multiple tabs to get to what I'm looking for (i.e. not quite a flick action, but also more aggressive than one tab).

FYI I'm on a pixel 2 xl.

Seems like you are on Canary from about two weeks ago. The scrolling logic on Canary, Dev and Beta has been updated last week with changes which we believe addresses some of the issues you have described.

Update and check to see if there is any improvement?
