Issue descriptionUserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10_13_5) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/69.0.3480.0 Safari/537.36 Steps to reproduce the problem: Right click on the desktop or the dock. Click on the clock in the menu bar. Open spotlight. Open Chrome's printing window, or an alert(), prompt(), confirm(), or onbeforeunload. What is the expected behavior? The browser window should continue to be drawn in a focused state. What went wrong? It appears unfocused. Did this work before? Yes Chrome version: 69.0.3480.0 Channel: canary OS Version: OS X 10.13.5 Flash Version:

Thanks for filing the issue! @Reporter: As per comment#1 this issue look very similar to that of issue 836262 , It would be highly helpful if confirmed whether this is a duplicate of the issue mentioned above. Any further inputs from your end may be helpful.

Maybe it's a duplicate? That's probably a call for whoever knows that codebase. One more observation: In 67 stable (no MacViews Browser), the page info popup and the people switcher cause the selected text in the web page or omnibox to change from blue (focused) to gray (unfocused). And in canary right now (with MacViews Browser), I see something almost the same but not exactly: Opening the page info popup and people switcher cause just the omnibox to lose focus (so that's not a regression), but opening a menu from elsewhere in the system causes the entire browser window to lose focus (this is the regression).

Able to reproduce the issue on reported chrome version 69.0.3480.0 and on the latest canary 68.0.3488.0 using Mac 10.13.1 As this very similar to Issue 836262 , assigning it to ellyjones@ for further inputs and removing Needs-Bisect label. Thanks!
