Issue descriptionChrome Version : 69.0.3479.0 (Official Build) Revision 4bd5a86d51d03f2c430547762c7a25a1a7946720-refs/branch-heads/3479@{#1} (64 bit) OS: Mac (10.9.5, 10.12.6, 10.13.1, 10.13.6, 10.14) Pre-condition: Enable flag "Emoji Context Menu" from chrome://flags. Steps to reproduce: 1. Launch chrome and navigate to a content editable text box (Ex: Gmail Compose window, Hangouts, http://rot13.com/). 2. Right click on content editable text box and select ‘Emoji Symbols’ option from context menu (Emoji picker window will open). 3. Now select the "Smiling face" emoji from the emoji picker window and Observe. Actual Result: Improper 'Smiling face' emoji is seen on content editable text box. Expected Result: Proper 'Smiling face' emoji should be seen on content editable text box. This is a Mac specific non-regression issue, seen from M-67 series as ‘Context Menu Magic - Fast Access to Emojis’ feature is introduced from build #67.0.3389.0. NOTE: This issue is not reproducible on Win (7,8,8.1,10) & Linux (14.04 LTS). Kindly refer the attached screen-cast. Thank you..!!

This looks like a variation of b/78117554, which needs to be addressed by Gmail. Another issue I observed is with the context menu string including "amp; amp;". The translations there were fixed in b/78367469. |
