Portrait orientation video artifacts

Issue description

UserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/67.0.3396.99 Safari/537.36

Example URL:

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. Join to the same room on https://appr.tc/ with Chrome and Safari (IPhone 7)
2. clear the css-rule "object-fit" on the remote video (id="remote-video")
3. 

What is the expected behavior?
Remote video has no any artifacts 

What went wrong?
Remote video has artifacts 

Did this work before? N/A 

Is it a problem with Flash or HTML5? N/A

Does this work in other browsers? Yes

Chrome version: 67.0.3396.99  Channel: stable
OS Version: 6.1 (Windows 7, Windows Server 2008 R2)

As per comment #0 issue is reproducible with Chrome and Safari (IPhone 7) using Windows. Hence adding appropriate OS lable (iOS) for further inputs on it.

It seems that Chrome is running on Windows.

Tested the issue on chrome reported version# 67.0.3396.99 using Windows 10 with steps mentioned below:
1) Navigated to URL: https://appr.tc/ on chrome using Windows-10 and on Firefox using Mac 10.12.6 and joined with same meeting id.
2) Able to see the screen without any artifacts
Note: Tried attending the meeting through Safari, but unable to join the meeting, so tested the issue with Firefox

It's necessary to disable css rule "object-fit: cover" to see any artifacts.

No repro using Windows 10 and Chrome 71.0.3578.98 Official Build.
I performed the necesssary step #2 "disable css rule - object-fit: cover"  the video on both ends looks good.

If you can repro this issue with the current build of Chrome please let us know.
