ChromeOS 10827.0.0, 69.0.3475.0 dev-channel eve

What steps will reproduce the problem?
(1) Click on uber tray to view system menu
(2) Click on keyboard dropdown to view input methods
(3) Observe the shortened version text to the left of each input method

What is the expected result?
Text should be clearly visible

What happens instead?
Text is not clearly visible. For darker backgrounds the text is not visible at all.
