Emoji fails to jump to another tab after sliding

Version 69.0.3464.0(Official build) canary (32-bit)
Platform 10819.0.0（official build) canary-channel kevin
Firmware Google_Kevin.8785.264.0


REPRO STEPS:
1.Switch to any keyboard.
2.Switch to Emoji layout.
3.Slide on the current tab (e.g Expression tab).
4.Click another tab icon (e.g. Car tab icon)

Actual result: 
It's still Expression tab display. (Emoji will jump to Car tab, after i repeat step #4 again )

Note:
This issue does not repro before sliding.
