Deleting emails from Promotion tab is infact deleting emails from PRIMARY INBOX tab resulting in losing critical emails for end-users

Issue descriptionChrome Version : Version 67.0.3396.87 (Official Build) (64-bit) URL : Not available Behavior in Safari 4.x/5.x: Behavior in Firefox 3.x/4.x: What steps will reproduce the problem? (1) Login to your Gmail and click on PROMOTIONS tab (2) Select All checkbox and yu will notice that Gmail says that "# conversations are selected but none are shown as checked under PROMOTION tab. These emails selected are infact from end user's PRIMARY INBOX tab. (3) Click on DELETE and emails from PRIMARY INBOX gets deleted without end-use being clear that its nt PROMOTION but PRIMARY emails are being deleted. ERROR DETAILS: (1) Clicking on PROMOTION tab is not focusing and sendng control to PROMOTION tab but still keeps the focus/control on PRIMARY tab (2) This error I am seeing for last 8-10 days and its challenging because without realizing a lot of my important emials from PRIMARY tab has been deleted and since I keep my TRASH folder clean, there is no way for me to receive that information again. See the attached screenshot and appreciate you looking at this issue at earliest.

Unable to reproduce the issue on Win-7 and Win-10 using chrome reported version #67.0.3396.87, latest stable #67.0.3396.99 and latest canary #69.0.3473.0 by following the below steps 1. Opened gmail 2. Navigate to promotions tab 3. Clicked on select all 4. All promotional mails got selected Attached a screen cast for reference. reporter@ - Could you please check this issue on latest stable #67.0.3396.99 by creating a new profile without any apps and extensions and please let us know if the issue still persist or not. On Chrome version Version 67.0.3396.87, I was able to reproduce the issue However after downloading the latest version Version 67.0.3396.99 (Official Build) (64-bit), the issue is CNR. Be great if you could force deploy of latest version on end-user machine and have them relaunch the browser

This issue has resurfaced again since last couple of days.. Exact same isue as i have decsribed in the steps to reproduced before. My Chrome browser Version 67.0.3396.99 (Official Build) (64-bit) Please take a look at it when you get a chance Also the checking and un-checking of "checkbox" is getting stuck to checked |
