Issue descriptionDevice name: Pixel 2 XL From "Settings > About Chrome" Application version: 67.0.3396.87 Operating system: Android 8.1.0 URLs (if applicable): Steps to reproduce: (1) Find a url for which Chrome offers simplified view. For example: https://kotlinexpertise.com/kotlin-nullability-features/ (2) Open that same url in a Chrome Custom Tab Expected result: user gets a snackbar that offers a simplified view Actual result: snackbar doesn't appear. The page renders in the non-simplified view

You can use the sample app for Chrome custom tabs: https://github.com/GoogleChrome/custom-tabs-client. It allows you to input a url, and open that as a custom tab. Input a url for which Chrome offers simplified view. For example: https://kotlinexpertise.com/kotlin-nullability-features/
