Make sure explore sites NTP will look ok on tablets and in landscape mode

The explore sites NTP tiles are currently styled according to the width of the screen, because there appears to be a race condition when clicking on the 3-dot menu -> new tab which causes the parent container to have yet been measured.

This fix is ok for prototype, but will need to be fixed for reals if this will launch later on
