Bookmarks: Subtext on bookmark can be confusing

Project Member Reported by ghendel@chromium.org, Jun 25 2018

Issue description

Because the subtext shows the URL for a top-level domain while the title of the bookmark shows the particular webpage, it sometimes confuses me about where the bookmark will take me to.

The first bookmarked item below is a particular article from the NYTimes, but the subtext says mobile.nytimes.com, making me think that maybe this bookmark goes to the NYTimes homepage.

This also confused me in the second-to-last entry, the one with the www.google.com subtext since it was an AMP article.

Is there a better solution for this?

I think we've opted for this pattern in the Reading List already and in omnibox too in the UI refresh (hide the full path and just show top level domain) so I would say it's more consistent that way. The title is more important than the URL IMHO. Happy to chat more in person.
Ok, then marking it as won't fix
