I had in the past however i can't get to the screen for that. It is not available under guest to perform the action. Guest login is the only way to get to internet.

The key combo is: Ctrl + Alt + Shift + r. You need to hold it down while the machine reboots. Before the machine boots up you should screen a boot screen indicating recovery steps.

We have been able to wake up the OS system for Chrome Notebook. My husband repeatedly turned it on and off and tried to make a new account. After many tries he was successful. He took over the system with his account so if the account under my mother is not working he can get in and fix it, While doing that, he installed Bitdefender Security. It downloaded and is applied however we cant see where it is in the system. We also power washed the computer and made some changes in settings. This included making automatic processes NOT automatic. We will maintenance the system ourselves and keep it up to date as needed, We hope to see issues if they are to happen again unfold. My mother now has her own account as it was with a few settings changed. He backed up and when not in use it is SHUTDOWN instead of just shutting the lid. All updates are completed. I know it will happen again, as this is the 5th time it has, each time becoming increasingly more difficult to fix. I appreciate your input and I hope we helped someone else as well. The key combo did not work in this case.

we able to maintain the computer at workable health, however it has failed completely and we will be purchasing a small priced laptop. Her computer no longer responds. Since it is this state we feel comfortable checking insidw to make sure all is seated properly. If unseccessful we haven't lost anything at this point. Thanks for all your feedback. Loading the O S failed as well |
