GPU Memory Problem

Issue description
UserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/66.0.3359.117 Safari/537.36
Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. use chrome open d.html and Shift+Esc open task manager
2. u can see the GPU memory about 76M
3. open new tab and switch to d.html tab
4. u can see the GPU memory about 85M
5. step 3 ~ 4 again and agin .....
6. Too much GPU memory!!! maybe crash!!
What is the expected behavior?
how can i do the gpu memory does not grow.any API?
What went wrong?
create canvas(2000*2000) and fillRect
canvas = document.createElement("canvas");
canvas.width = 2000;
canvas.height = 2000;
let c = canvas.getContext("2d");
c.fillStyle = "rgba(255,255,255,255)";
c.fillRect(0, 0, 1, 1);
switch chrome tab gpu memory glow up to fast

As per comment #0 we have tested this issue on reported chrome version 66.0.3359.117 and latest chrome stable 67.0.3396.87 using Windows 7. Attaching screenshot for reference. Steps: -------- 1. Launched chrome 2. opened d.html and by hitting Shift+Esc opened task manager 3. Observed GPU memory and navigated to new tab observed GPU memory also opened five tabs and observed the same GPU memory usage i.e., 15,625k. We have not seen gpu memory not grow. @Reporter: As we are unable to reproduce the issue from our end. Can you verify this issue with fresh profile that is not having any extensions and apps or reset all the flags. Let us know whether issue still persists. Could you please upgrade to latest chrome stable 67.0.3396.87, you can download latest chrome builds here:""https://www.chromium.org/getting-involved/dev-channel"". Thanks.!
