Just now I landed a fix CL https://chromium-review.googlesource.com/c/chromium/src/+/1118006 for issue 856969 and issue 856330 , which is supposed to be a fix for this issue, too. I've re-enabled redirect-password-base-https-other-https.html in that CL and let's monitor whether it's a real fix from this point on.
