Some chromebox have fan, controlled by the EC and monitored via ectool:

ectool pwmgetfanrpm
ectool pwmsetfanrpm 2800

But there is no other way.

We can access fan info via memmap register, but no kernel driver are present. 
Support for lm-sensors/libsensor would be useful to report broken fan and manage devices in a server-like environment.
