Sublime popups cause weird blackness

Repro steps:
1. Run sublime
2. Show a popup (context menu, the autocomplete popup, file save)

Expected: The rest of the window is normal
Actual: The rest of the window goes black. As the mouse moves regions of it are redrawn.

See photo for an example. Note taking screenshot causes the whole window to be redrawn.
