Issue descriptionChrome Version: 68.0.3440.33 (Official Build) Revision d62017a8f8d8d64411d2c510a5355c88b0cf9671-refs/branch-heads/3440@{#460} 32/64-bit. OS: Windows(7,8,8.1,10), Mac(10.12.6 , 10.13.1 , 10.13.5, 10.13.6) and Linux(14.04). What steps will reproduce the problem? 1. Launch Chrome, sign-in to Chrome with valid credentials and wait till 'You've signed in and turned on Sync' overlay will appear. 2. Click on 'Settings' link on 'You've signed in and turned on Sync' overlay (It will navigate to chrome://settings/syncSetup page) 3. Now perform some activity on 'Advanced sync settings' page or wait for 5-10 seconds and observe the toast massage. Actual: Sync toast message doesn't get dismissed. Expected: Sync toast message should get dismissed. This is a non-regression issue, seen from M-67 series. NOTE: This issue is also reproducible on Stable build #67.0.3396.87, Beta build # 68.0.3440.25 and Canary build # 69.0.3466.0 Kindly review the attached screen-cast for reference. Thank you.

I believe this is WAI. The toast is supposed to stay open until the user leaves the syncSetup/ page.

Correct, this is WAI. This is a privacy-sensitive message, so we do not want the toast to disappear. If the user takes some time to review their sync settings and then decides they don't want to sync, we don't want to eliminate the "CANCEL SYNC" option. Marking as WontFix (WAI). |
