Issue descriptionChrome Version : Multiple tested: - Version 67.0.3396.87 (Official Build) (64-bit) - Version 68.0.3424.0 (Official Build) (64-bit) - Version 67.0.3396.87 (Official Build) (32-bit) - Version 68.0.3424.0 (Official Build) (32-bit) OS Version: Win 7 64 bit URLs (if applicable) : gmail.com, youtube.com Other browsers tested: Firefox: OK 67.0.3396.87 No Sync... Portable: OK 68.0.3424.0 No Sync... Portable: OK 67.0.3396.87 Sync... Installer: OK What steps will reproduce the problem? 1. Attempt to user any Installer variant of the No Sync/No WebRTC/No Widevine. 2. Navigate to gmail.com 3. Login 4. Fails with "An error has occurred." What is the expected result? Log in successfully What happens instead of that? Error. Please provide any additional information below. Attach a screenshot if possible. All Portable versions of No Sync... tested worked fine. The Installer version of them all failed to allow me to log in to any google related websites. NOTE! I am _NOT_ attempting to log in to the browser, I am logging in directly to the website itself.

Thanks for filing the issue! Unable to reproduce the issue on reported chrome versions 67.0.3396.87 and 68.0.3424.0 using Windows 10 with the below mentioned steps. 1. Launched Chrome 2. Navigated to gmail.com 3. Entered the credentials and logged in. We were able to log in successfully without any issues. @Reporter: It's mentioned in Comment#0 that you are not attempting to log in to the browser, instead you are trying to log in directly to the website itself, Could you please mention the website in which you are trying to log in. It would also be helpful if elaborated on point no.1 in comment#0, as we aren't very clear about it. Note: Tentatively adding component "UI>SignIn", please change if this isn't apt.

Spun up a Win10 VM to check, still able to reproduce issue. Clarification on point no.1 as requested: 1.1) Download/run Installer variant of No Sync/No WebRTC/No Widevine, version 67.0.3396.87 (550428), from link on https://chromium.woolyss.com/. Exact binary path is: https://github.com/henrypp/chromium/releases/download/v67.0.3396.87-r550428-win64/chromium-nosync.exe 1.2) Navigate to "gmail.com", when attempting to log in, the log in page returns "Something went wrong" I have reproduced this on Win7 native install, as well as Win10 VM install. Just to reiterate, this only happens with the Installer version, if I attempt to download and run the same nosync Portable (https://chromium.woolyss.com/f/chrlauncher-win64-stable-codecs-nosync.zip) then I can log in just fine. Or if I install the sync version of the same release version.

I'm presuming that "M-69" is a reference to builds with a major number of 69. Based on that I tested the installer for 69.0.3472.0 (569934) (Direct link: https://storage.googleapis.com/chromium-browser-snapshots/Win_x64/570400/mini_installer.exe) I am not sure what is meant with "mini" in this context, it seems to not include codecs and maybe some other features I am unaware of. It does also include the WebRTC feature as well which means it is not quite the same features, but it seems to be unrelated to this issue or Issue 844250 . However, yes, using the version and installer I mentioned above, I can log in to google web services without issue.
