Issue descriptionUserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10_13_5) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/67.0.3396.87 Safari/537.36 Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. Open the Google Chrome web browser (on macOS High Sierra) 2. Open a new tab page (or open the www.google.com website) 3. Click right on this page, and you see the menu "Speech" in the list See Google Chrome forum post: https://productforums.google.com/forum/?utm_medium=email&utm_source=footer#!topic/chrome/JPsPA-waABQ What is the expected behavior? What went wrong? An option to remove/hide this "Speech" menu in the Google Chrome web browser. For example, add the option in the Apple menubar -> "Edit" -> "Speech" -> and add here the option to enable/disable this feature. => Get a cleaner and simple context menu for the Chrome user. Did this work before? N/A Chrome version: 67.0.3396.87 Channel: stable OS Version: OS X 10.13.5 Flash Version: Only for macOS users

Thanks for filing the issue! From comment#0 it is understood that the issue seems to be a feature request rather than a bug, hence changing the type to Feature. Requesting someone from Dev team to have a look into this. Our observations: ----------------- Upon right clicking on a NTP we didn't observe "Speech" in the list, in latest Beta 68.0.3440.25 and in the latest canary 69.0.3464.0. Note: Tentatively adding component "Blink>HTML>Menu" please change if this isn't apt.

+markchang@ since this is a product question (and "Available" to get it out of triage queue :)) I wonder if we can shift it to above "inspect" to address these concerns. I think removing it entirely would be contrary to platform expectations. |
