Issue descriptionUserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; CrOS x86_64 10575.54.0) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/67.0.3396.78 Safari/537.36 Platform: 10575.54.0 (Official Build) beta-channel eve Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. Configure and apply ethernet settings under network in admin console 2. log into device connected to ethernet 3. look at ethernet settings and you see connection type is set to direct internet connection What is the expected behavior? expected behavior would be for policy to set the proxy as specified in the admin console What went wrong? policy is not setting proxy for ethernet connections Did this work before? N/A Chrome version: 67.0.3396.78 Channel: beta OS Version: 10575.54.0 Flash Version: 30.0.0.113 /opt/google/chrome/pepper/libpepflashplayer.so Case 16095707 created with enterprise support attached screenshots of working wifi and not working ethernet from client machine.

I have also tried without settings in the "no proxy for" section. We set that to 192.* to allow all traffic to bypass proxy outside of corporate network.

Denis, I recall you tried to repro something similar to this previously?

I'll be able to take a look at this early next week.

To be clear: I'm expecting that the policy-set proxy settings are enforced even if connected to Ethernet, but they're just not being displayed in the UI. Or have you actually experienced the device not respecting the proxy when doing web navigations? +stevenjb FYI

This may be the same issue as bug 726669

I was trying to reproduce this (on 70.0.3503.0) today by setting a policy with proxy configurations as device or user policy via yaps, both seemed to work as expected (see screenshot) Could you provide a screenshot of your chrome://policy page please?

BTW, there is an "export to JSON" button at chrome://policy which is generally more useful than a screenshot. |
