Issue descriptionUserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/67.0.3396.87 Safari/537.36 Example URL: https://jsfiddle.net/y196qLd3/1/ Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. You should see on bottom of the page a background-attachment:fixed background image What went wrong? Simplifed test.html attached. Expected: blue box at the bottom Observed: nothing Bisected to r537454 = 0a9a5c311a1d3a298f952e495510bd6fe3faa2f6 = https://crrev.com/c/923572 by wangxianzhu@chromium.org "[SPv175] Enable SlimmingPaintV175 by default" Landed in 66.0.3351.0 Confirmed by disabling SP175 and observing the bug is gone: chrome --disable-blink-features=SlimmingPaintV175 To find the underlying bug I forced SP175 via --enable-blink-features=SlimmingPaintV175, and bisected to r501502 = 1dd12d1e64b4f5777d5a1623700572f8dd9a3d4b = https://crrev.com/c/654438 by trchen@chromium.org "[Blink] Add new mode to use property tree to paint in SPv1"

Thank you for taking the time to file this with a minimal testcase! We have a pending fix for this in https://crbug.com/849854 and I confirmed it fixes your testcase too. I'm going to merge this into there, please follow along at 849854. |
