Tested this on reported chromium version on 67.0.3396.0 using Ubuntu 14.04 As we are unable to test this on dot versions. Attaching Screenshot for reference.

We have observed that there is a difference between M-65 & reported chromium version 67.0.3396.79. However this seems to be working fine on Linux Ubuntu 14.04.

This is reported on Fedora 28 and dont have this to test and confirm on the same hence routing to inhouse team to get this checked on Fedora as well.

Thanks!

Unable to reproduce the issue on Fedora 25 with chrome Version #67.0.3396.0, observed that cursor alignment in omnibox is as expected

Since Fedora 28 is not available with TE, Hence adding TE-Hardware-Dependency label
junjieyuanxiling@, are you still experiencing this issue?

I wonder if that has to do with the default font in your system. Do you know what font you have installed?

hi junjieyuanxiling@gmail.com - are you still experiencing this issue?
This problem disappears after replacing with the system default font.

Default font{
    Windows Title: Cantarell Bold 11;
    Interface: Cantarell Regular 11;
    Document: Sans Regular 11;
    Monospace: Monospace Regular 11;
}

The font that caused this problem to occur{
    Windows Title: Noto Sans CJK SC Bold 11;
    Interface: Noto Sans CJK SC Regular 11;
    Document: Noto Sans CJK SC Regular 11;
    Monospace: Noto Sans Mono CJK SC Regular 11;
}//"SC" may mean "Simplified Chinese".

pkasting: can you comment on whether there's anything we can do about the fact that with the font listed in #10, the omnibox cursor is not vertically centered (see screenshot in original report)?
Fix bug 249065 , and make sure the fix applies to the cursor as well as the selection rect?

manukh: please keep this in mind as an issue that may benefit from a similar approach to the fix for bug 249065 .

This is lower priority, though, and on further reflection I'm not even sure we should attempt to change this. But if it's possible without much effort to extend the cursor down to appear centered, it's worth trying.
pkasting: given your comment about the cursor height in https://crbug.com/249065 , would you say that this is WontFix?
Status: WontFix (was: Assigned)
Yeah. Before seeing it I thought changing the cursor height was viable, but after seeing the screenshots, it seems like we just shouldn't try.
