mac: Keyboard input is noticeably laggy

To quantify things,
- keypress-slow video is 69.0.3453.3, and takes ~34 frames for selection to appear
- keypress-fast video is 67.0.3396.79, and takes ~13 frames for selection to appears

This isn't unique to Shift+Alt+Left, several other key combinations are slow. Alt+Left is slow, and so is the use of the arrow keys.

You are probably looking for a change made after 565489 (known good), but no later than 565508 (first known bad).
